Durante el curso 2011/12, y tras la acumulación de un sólido bagaje en materia de fomento de las vocaciones emprendedoras en el sistema educativo andaluz, la Consejería de Educación, en colaboración con la Consejería de Economía, Ciencia e Innovación y la Consejería de empleo va a poner en marcha el I Plan para el Fomento de la Cultura Emprendedora en el Sistema Educativo Público de Andalucía, aprobado el 28 de junio de 2011 a través del decreto 219/2011. Dicho Plan tiene como finalidades fundamentales promover los valores de la cultura emprendedora entre el profesorado y alumnado de todos los niveles educativos de Andalucía, al tiempo que crea los canales de comunicación para interconectar el sistema educativo con el productivo e implica al conjunto de la sociedad, en especial a las familias, en la valorización de la figura del emprendedor, entendido éste como un ciudadano o ciudadana proactivo con capacidad para transformar su entorno y convertir los obstáculos en oportunidades.
