Das Mercator Kolleg für internationale Aufgaben ist ein Projekt der Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes und des Mercator Program Center for International Affairs, gefördert durch die Stiftung Mercator, in Kooperation mit dem Auswärtigen Amt. Jährlich werden 20 neue Kollegiaten aus Deutschland in das Mercator Kolleg aufgenommen.
