Jane Street's summer internships and January "winternships" offer an exceptional opportunity to learn about the firm and the world's financial markets. Trading interns work with experienced traders to find and execute arbitrage strategies, hedge risk, and search for new opportunities. Research interns construct mathematical models, learn about relevant academic research, explore new ideas, and execute studies using Jane Street's massive research infrastructure.

JPL Robotics is led by the Mobility and Robotic Systems Section (347), which is comprised of five research groups, a management team as the section staff, and a business support group. In addition, other JPL personnel contribute to robotics efforts, while some move on to outside positions but remain collaborators. Finally, each summer we host a number of students and summer faculty.

Applied Sciences Group

The Applied Sciences Group (ASG) is an applied research and development team dedicated to creating the next generation of computer interaction technologies. The interdisciplinary group focuses on the synergy between optics, electronics and software to create novel human computer interfaces. The ASG mainly supports projects for next generation computing and interface hardware for Mobile, Xbox, Pixel Sense, and Surface. It also works closely with Microsoft Research.
