Dual Cut , a modular furniture piece that employs the simplest production processes true to its materials with minimal wastage, is a result from the collaboration between Canada based designer Kitmen Keung and Belgian furniture label Sixinch . Information from the designer: Dual Cut was designed with a dedication to Sixinch’s urethane cut technology, which is processed by data without the need of molding. It was an experiment to minimise the production process and material wastage, and more importantly to maximise its function values and flexibility in real life. http://www.hipbip.com/

http://blogs.hbr.org/ Over my 35 years of experience in the corporate and non-profit worlds, I've been part of hundreds, if not thousands, of teams of all shapes and sizes: large, small, formal, informal, "real", "virtual" — and the list goes on. I've also led some of these teams as a Fortune 300 CEO, and I've been at the bottom of the ladder as a marketing assistant at the start of my career. Consistently building high performance teams... SCRAP A LITTLE!

It's a Pringles tin that you cover with patterned paper and then decorate...all according to the season. Works great for Valentine's of course, but also for Christmas, Halloween, Easter and so on. Take your patterned paper ( approx. 3 2/16 inches x 10 inches ) and cover the tin. Let the sides overlap a bit and make sure your paper is tight and smooth all around. Now you just have to decorate. Here I used a border punch and the Cricut. http://www.scrap-a-little.com/

I Could Make That

Awakenings: Tools for psychological and spiritual growth.

The picture above represents such an awakening. It was taken on a day that started sunny but soon turned to rain. During the bus ride from Salisbury to Stonehenge there was a downpour. I grumbled to myself and my wife about how the rain would ruin this long awaited trip. As I walked around Stonehenge in the cold and wet mist, I was still disappointed with the day. Suddenly, the rain stopped and the sun momentarily broke through the clouds.

Last weekend my mom, sister and two best friends threw me a fabulous baby shower brunch! I chose the color scheme of turquoise and orange and they took it from there. They did a wonderful job and made me feel so special with the attention to detail on everything. It was truly a day filled with family, friends and joy. I kept thinking to myself, is this really my baby shower?

I’m back home now, and I’m feeling something I haven’t felt since the last time I returned from a big trip. Friday night I came in the door, dropped my bag, sat on the couch out of habit. Instead of the relief I had looked forward to from the plane, I felt an intense uneasiness.
From a distance, scaffolding looks like a maze of criss-crossing steel pipes that encircles a building. But peer closely and you will realize that complex and precision engineering is at work behind the lattice. It is believed that scaffolding originated in ancient North Africa and China. A Greek wine cup, also known as a kylix and dating back to the fifth century, contains an image of a statue of a warrior within a scaffolding. Scaffolding today is mainly made of metal pipes. But in some parts of Asia, scaffolding is made of bamboo and is even used when building very tall skyscrapers.
