Nintendo announced today that it will be dropping the prices of the DSi and DSi XL later this month. Starting May 20, the two systems will retail for $99.99 and $129.99, respectively. This makes a lot of sense, considering stores were selling the XL and the newer 3DS at the same price. During last month's financial results briefing , Nintendo said that it was working on cutting the manufacturing costs of its portable systems; considering the company does not traditionally sell hardware at a loss, this price cut suggests that it found a way to hook that up.

Colour-Blind option in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Petition
We, the undersigned, do hereby create this petition to try and get Infinity Ward to add a patch to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to enable colour-blind people to play the online modes without being at a disadvantage. Statistics say that approximately 8\% of males are colour-blind, and 0.5\% of females, yet there is no option in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to cater for this. At present, people that are red / green colour blind cannot tell friend from foe in the online matches, as their names appear in these colours, and the radar uses the colours too. This is causing frustration and putting them at a distinct disadvantage unless playing in Free-For-All matches.

First Left 4 Dead 2 Add-on Brings Back Bill, Francis, Zoey & Lou
Valve has revealed the first downloadable addition to Left 4 Dead 2, a new episode named "The Passing." The campaign, set after the events of "Dead Center," features a meet up between Ellis, Coach, Rochelle, and Nick and Bill, Francis, Zoey and Louis. "The Passing" offers more than just a friendly Survivor get-together, adding one new "uncommon common" infected type, new weapons—one melee, one firearm—and "a new co-operative challenge mode of play." The new campaign will naturally be playable in Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes in addition to that still unannounced newer mode. The new episode is "set in a small town in rural Georgia," according to Valve's release, keeping players in the role of Left 4 Dead 2's cast "as they meet with the L4D1 characters." Could "The Passing" offer 4-plus-4 cooperative multiplayer action, or are we just aiming too high?Pokémon, plural, turn kids into devil. They are monsters. And there's stabbing and shootings, too!

I controlled a real-time-strategy game with my fingertips for the first time last week. It wasn't as bad as I feared, not yet as good as I now want it to be. BioWare has revealed the voice cast for Mass Effect 2, with a cast of new and returning voice actors that covers just about every corner of science fiction fandom. Of course the biggest addition to the Mass Effect 2, Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man, has already been outed , but he's just the tip of the iceberg as far as new cast members are concerned. BioWare has pulled in talent from multiple television and movie properties in order to help facilitate a more emotionally engaging story. We've got Tricia Helfer and Michael Hogan from Battlestar Galactica playing the voice of the new Normandy and Captain Bailey respectively. From NBC's Chuck comes Yvonne Strahovski as genetically engineered Cerberus operative Miranda Lawson, joined by co-star Adam Baldwin, better known as Firefly's Jayne Cobb, who'll be taking on the role of Kal ‘Reegar.
