If you’ve always wanted to go scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef but haven’t had a chance to, this might be one of the next best things: Google has added gorgeous underwater panoramic photographs to Street View, allowing to swim around at the world’s largest coral system as if it were a street in your neighborhood. In the blog post announcing this addition, Google Maps VP Brian McClendon writes, Today we’re adding the very first underwater panoramic images to Google Maps, the next step in our quest to provide people with the most comprehensive, accurate and usable map of the world.

It’s funny when you see a new technology being introduced while, probably due to watching a lot of science-fiction films, you have this uncanny feeling that you’ve seen it before and it should have been invented ages ago. This is what I felt after seeing Samsung’s interactive transparent window display. As you can see in the video above, the attractive lady is interacting with the window as you would with any touch screen device – pressing buttons, sliding sliders.Stanley Kubrick believed that "filmmaking is an exercise in problem solving."
