Informationssökning - med stöttning och ramar Det är många som suckar att de redan vet hur man googlar saker, men det jag märker är att eleverna i själva verket har en hel del problem här. Många av mina eleverna gillar att kopiera text direkt och just därför är jag lite hård och kräver att de antecknar för hand. Jag lottade ut länder bland eleverna och de fick ett papper med instruktioner för sökningen . Inför informationssökandet diskuterade vi de olika aspekterna av källkritik. När eleverna väl var igång försökte jag få lite koll på vilka sidor de valde att använda.

Det finns säkert många som nu invänder mot att det språk som används på Reddit och de ämnen som avhandlas inte alltid är rumsrena, men om man ska ha den sortens filter på alla tips man delar blir det väldigt svårt att hitta sajter att rekommendera för sina elever.
Eftersom just denna subreddit föll mig i smaken valde jag att skapa ett litet arbetsområde för mina 9or kring detta. För att koppla det till kursplanen kommer mina elever få arbeta med nyheter från engelskspråkiga länder. De får inleda med att läsa några inlägg på sajten och sedan skapa ett eget liknande inlägg. How I learned to love my school uniform. School uniforms are an integral part of the British education system whether the students like it or not. My first uniform consisted of a grey skirt, white shirt, green and white striped tie and a green jumper - I was four years old. Although I didn't like wearing them at the time, looking back, I now strongly believe they were a good thing. In my opinion, a uniform does not only promote equality, but also a sense of community. For example, the FC Barcelona team wear the same kit and in the process of doing so, they represent their club. Just like players accessorise their football boots, students can still customise their rucksacks or their uniforms in a number of ways. Although equality is the main argument, uniforms are also very practical from both a teacher and a student's perspective. However, there are of course disadvantages - it can be quite irritating having to bring a change of clothes if we're going to a friend's house after school!
