Over the recent years, especially in America, police brutality has been a negative aspect of the previous and current generations. This rise in police brutality has resulted in numerous songs manufactured as combat against police brutality.

The songs “Good Cop Bad cop”, “Black Lives Matter”, and "Police Brutality" display and address various aspects of police brutality. In Good Cop Bad Cop, Ice cube accuses the police of lack of empathy for the people with the lyrics "they don't give a damn who gets shot." The song “Black Lives Matter'' was dedicated to now famously known George Floyd. Teejayx6 also addresses his concern and fear of being brutalized by the police in the lyrics "I need a bulletproof vest to walk in the street.” Lastly, the song "Police Brutality" by Hotboii addresses the culture of warranted fear of the police from African Americans with the lyrics. "Growing' up Black, scared of these cops, that's how it be.” In conclusion, these songs lyrically exemplify the rise of cruelty, impact, and effect of police.
