I have successfully survived 4 months with my daughter, Nanditha and though she doesn’t seem to be a big fan of my cooking (she’s an Enfamil fan), she likes to stare at our mouth when we are eating. But Nirmal enjoys traditional Indian cooking, especially vegetarian dishes.Since he is traveling a lot, weekends are special for us and so this week I decided to make a vegetable Kurma for him. The Indian KURMA is probably one of the oldest side dishes concocted!!! You take some carrots, potato, beans, green peas etc add some masala and lo…you have a side dish that you can eat with almost any tiffin item including APPAM !!

This is a wonderful omelette recipe chock-full of delicious stuff: crab meat , potatoes , cheddar cheese . Nathan Outlaw 's crab omelette is a fabulous savoury brunch or light lunch option that goes well with salad leaves or even soup Method To begin the omelette, heat 2 tbsp of rapeseed oil in a small, high-sided pan. Once hot, add the chopped onion and sliced potatoes Stir the onions and potatoes gently for 5 minutes until they begin to soften.

A sweet and tangy watermelon lime sorbet is a great way to cool off in the summer. As a bonus, this recipe is frozen back in the watermelon rind and cut off into slices. It’s hot. The type of heat where when you step outside the door and your skin is wet before the door swings shut behind you. It’s a hot that hangs in the air, letting you breathe it in, that is cured only by two things: being completely immersed in water or hiding indoors, the air conditioning cranked as far as it will go. I find that the heat makes me very unmotivated to do things like take a walk, water and weed the garden (though I have forced that one on myself) and prepare food and eat it.
By Laura Schwecherl By the time noon rolls around, it may seem too easy to head to nearest pizza joint. But hold up: We have 35 healthy lunches that are 400 calories or less and can be made in no time! And for those who need a little more fuel to keep on going, each meal also includes an optional side snack to keep anyone’s belly full (up to 500 calories). So say sayonara to take-out or hours slaving at the kitchen -- with these options, nobody will go hungry (or unhealthy) again. Sandwiches/Wraps 1.
