We need to have transformation at the core of what we do: If it is all about the students, where do you start with curriculum and/or teaching design – surely it is with what do you want your graduates to look like?

Technology integration into the fabric of learning and teaching: is where we should be heading with all we do as teachers. Finally, can you help with V3.0? Google Drive has all the features that make it a very powerful productivity suite for teachers. Besides being able to create documents, slides, drawings and spreadsheets , users can also upload their own PDFs and files and sync them with their Google Drive accounts across different devices. This is probably what distinguished this service from other powerful tools like Dropbox and Evernote. This is my favorite new search engine tool for the classroom. A search engine that graphically displays the data AND creates an automatic journal for students.

Nice. So what is this thing? It then works on it...the process called, "Grokking"... ...and Voila! On the right there are a series of descriptions (let's blow that up a bit to see it better). This is more of the traditional search engine display, but still organized in a very easy to use format. The big yellow ball is Hawaii...the little yellow balls are the main points that came up under Hawaii. BAM! That can get overwhelming pretty quick (only images are on this image). I can move things around, add my own information, and when I am finished can email to myself, print it, even add to social media. Very cool stuff...and was all way faster than what it took you to read this far (which hopefully wasn't long either).

How To Create An Effective Classroom Website. No doubt you have already have a classroom website or will be required to create one in the very near future. Virtually every classroom teacher around the globe is being caught up in the development of this essential communication tool. Most of the early birds to this challenge went out and used providers such as Teacher Web. Now, more and more districts are implementing a provider that the entire district will use that provides continuity and uniformity.

This obviously will have its benefits for staff development but may stifle creativity. I started about 8 years ago with a variety of services, but about two years ago my district settled on one software host for us all to use. I dove in and decided to embrace the challenge to develop a comprehensive site that would be useful for students, parents, and teachers. Visit my classroom website to see how I have put many of the following ideas into place: The Borgeson Bunch . The first thing you will need is a website template.
