How do grid-connected systems work? Certification. Home: SolarWorld. Home Solar Panels. Home - Conergy Australia. Control Techniques utility scale PV inverter systems. Solar and Photovoltaics - PV. Finite reserves, volatile pricing and the threat from global warming are driving governments, utilities, corporations and individuals away from fossil based power sources towards a broad mix of sustainable renewable energy forms.

Solar and Photovoltaics - PV

Governments around the World have responded with Feed In Tariffs (FITs) that provide long term subsidies for energy produced by renewable energy systems such as photovoltaic (PV) power plants, making them attractive for investors. Control Techniques focus is on high output, large scale photovoltaic power plants where our grid-tie inverter systems are used to manage and efficiently convert the energy generated by solar panels so that it can be transported through the existing medium voltage electrical grid infrastructure.

Our solutions are based on high power, robust industrial inverter technology, configured in a way that delivers maximum efficiency and high reliability over the extended life time of a power plant. Powerman: solar PV, net metering and seeing the light in New Zealand

Photovoltaic (PV) solar power generation has made enormous advances over just the last two years. The cost of panels and assorted gear has fallen dramatically so that in NZ grid tie solar systems in the 2KW peak power range can be purchased for under NZ$10,000 (including GST) from many outfits. Grid tie PV systems, to make sure its clear what I mean here, are systems consisting of a set of solar panels, often 10 panels of 190W and 45 Volts each, and a grid tie inverter which feeds the solar power into the 240V mains system at your home. Once installed the power that is generated by the rooftop panels feeds into the 240V mains system. Power required by the home is then derived from this source. A typical 2KW peak system will produce in a year some 2,500 KWh of electric energy. Home-generated solar PV power has become cost effective and the so called “grid parity” point has been reached, at least at retail prices.

Additionally, solar installations will be available across Maxim’s full 3,500 lot property portfolio, the company confirms. Each solar installation will provide around a quarter of a typical home’s energy needs. The Maxim Group of companies has earned a reputation as one of the leaders of New Zealand’s new generation of design build construction companies. Maxim’s focus on design build development and construction of land and building projects emphasises the proactive application of leading design principles and work practices in every project.
