Encaustic Painting

Canlis Glass | Seattle Glass Artist | Glass Art Studio | Glass G. Jack Brubaker Designs | An artist working in metal. Artist. Carol Kucera. Battersby Fine Art. Instead, she started playing golf at 13, went to college on a full golf scholarship at 17, then later joined the Golf Digest's teaching program. After this, she went on to teach independently around the world for ten years, one of the few teaching professionals endorsed by Callaway. Though she still enjoys music and golf, the seductive and spiritual lure of painting looks to be the cause of the final and most phenomenal incarnation of Melissa Battersby.

Using everything from the 16 different colored roses in her garden to the deep blue of the Pacific to the plumage of a hummingbird, this artist takes her chromatic cues from nature. Her color field paintings may at first recall Rothko, but look again: one canvas can leave its viewers hypnotized as if hovering above a tide pool, watching the light glimmer off of the water's surface. Another may cause a viewer to hold his breath, as he would at the precise moment the sun hits the water at sunset. Note: Battersby paints with her hands. Anne Klocko Home. Susan Knecht Glass.
