Dive Brief: LearnZillion announced on Monday 750 new, free math and English language arts lesson plans aligned to new state standards. The "Dream Team" assembled by the company with top teachers from 42 states developed the lesson plans based on the Common Core State Standards. The digital curriculum and professional development platform's thousands of lesson plans can be viewed on any device with an Internet connection and are free to individual teachers, though districts and schools can also buy subscriptions to LearnZillion Premium. Dive Insight: The rollout of Common Core State Standards (as well as other new standards in states like Indiana) has been fast and furious, with many educators feeling rushed and perhaps under-prepared to teach to the new expectations.
