Yes, More Are Seeing A New Google Look-And-Feel. We’re getting more and more reports from readers who are seeing a “new” Google look-and-feel for its search results. This is a three column design that Google’s actually been testing for some time. That testing appears to be accelerating. NOTE: Google’s new look is now live. See: Meet The New Google & Its Colorful, Useful “Search Options” Column. Google Tackles Its “UI Jazz” Problem, Tests Streamlining Search Options Feature is our story from last November that takes an in-depth look at the new user interface and the features it offers. At the time, we wrote: So who sees the changes? That six week period has long come and passed — but the testing continues. Thanks to my recent computer problems, I’ve ended up in the test group. Below, a few screenshots showing what I currently see: Above, I’ve highlighted two changes from the screenshots we displayed in our November article.

Here’s a look when I open all the options: One new option is the Updates tab: Don’t see the new look yourself? Women stare, too | Stars and Stripes. Stars and Stripes Published: February 26, 2010 I hear where the writer of "DFAC meat market? " (letter, Feb. 19) is coming from. The ogling happens far too much. I myself am an extremely handsome man and have been told so by my mother, wife and other assorted females. I often walk into the chow hall and catch women undressing me with their eyes.

Sometimes I feel like saying, "Hey ladies, my eyes are up here! " I am a soldier in uniform, and though I carry a weapon like the next soldier, I often come across compliments — strike that — sexually vulgar innuendos aimed at me. I don’t do this for the attention; I do it for personal pleasure, to prove to myself that I am better and prettier than those around me, but I don’t want other people to notice this. I have a solution to the problem: I suggest we put blinders on all of the women on base. Dudes! Still hanging in the meat market. Sgt. Stare Into The Real-Life Eyes Of Buzz Lightyear - toy story - io.

@MonstersAndRockets: Actually, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command was also a cartoon series that ran for 3 seasons, and Patrick Warburton voiced his character. New music - Listen & Judge Country, Christian, Rap, Rock & More. Death in the Atlantic: The Last Four Minutes of Air France Fligh. One tiny technical failure heralded the impending disaster. But the measurement error was so inconspicuous that the pilots in the cockpit of the Airbus A330 probably hardly noticed it.

Air France flight 447 had been in the air for three hours and 40 minutes since taking off from Rio de Janeiro on the evening of May 31, 2009. Strong turbulence had been shaking the plane for half an hour, and all but the hardiest frequent flyers were awake. Suddenly the gauge indicating the external temperature rose by several degrees, even though the plane was flying at an altitude of 11 kilometers (36,000 feet) and it hadn't got any warmer outside.

The false reading was caused by thick ice crystals forming on the sensor on the outside of the plane. These crystals had the effect of insulating the detector. Flying through thunderclouds over the Atlantic, more and more ice was hurled at the aircraft. One alarm after another lit up the cockpit monitors. The final minutes of flight AF 447 had begun. The Pudding Guy. In 1999, UC-Davis civil engineer David Phillips was grocery shopping when he noticed something peculiar. Healthy Choice Foods was offering frequent-flyer miles to customers who bought its products. But a 25-cent pudding would bring 100 miles — the reward was worth more than the product itself. Recognizing a good thing, Phillips bought 12,150 servings of pudding for $3,140, claiming he was stocking up for Y2K. Then he enlisted the Salvation Army to help him peel off the UPC codes, in exchange for donating the pudding.

He mailed his submission to Healthy Choice, and to their credit they awarded him 1.25 million frequent-flyer miles, enough for 31 round trips to Europe, 42 to Hawaii, 21 to Australia, or 50 anywhere in the United States. There’s no downside. (Thanks, Brendan.) The Dark Knight Drives a Smart Car. Maybe it is because of the economic situation or perhaps a parking problem, but the Batmobile Smart Car seems like a great financial answer for the Dark Knight. The Smart ForTwo vehicle has got a great remake by George Barris, the maker of the original 1960′s Batmobile version. It has the shine, the coolness and definite appeal you would expect from Batman’s car, but I wonder about the actual room inside. Would it be enough for all those wonderful toys Batman usually carries around? This BatSmart vehicle was available on Ebay, signed by the maker and modeled with a few Catwomen models for show.
