We’re getting more and more reports from readers who are seeing a “new” Google look-and-feel for its search results. This is a three column design that Google’s actually been testing for some time. That testing appears to be accelerating. NOTE: Google’s new look is now live.
I myself am an extremely handsome man and have been told so by my mother, wife and other assorted females. I often walk into the chow hall and catch women undressing me with their eyes. Sometimes I feel like saying, "Hey ladies, my eyes are up here!" I also find myself taking my chow back to the office and eating in a dark room while crying. I am a soldier in uniform, and though I carry a weapon like the next soldier, I often come across compliments — strike that — sexually vulgar innuendos aimed at me. What am I to do?
About darn time: a New Zealand-based Martin Aircraft Company is going to start selling commercial jetpacks at $75,000 a pop. The 200-horsepower dual-propeller packs can “reach heights of up to 2,400 metres and top speeds of 60mph” and are finally going to give the power of flight to any old Shmoe without a pilot’s license. But to be fair, they aren’t exactly jet packs. They’re powered by two propellers to create lift—not by jets ( video here ).

In 1999, UC-Davis civil engineer David Phillips was grocery shopping when he noticed something peculiar. Healthy Choice Foods was offering frequent-flyer miles to customers who bought its products. But a 25-cent pudding would bring 100 miles — the reward was worth more than the product itself. Recognizing a good thing, Phillips bought 12,150 servings of pudding for $3,140, claiming he was stocking up for Y2K. Then he enlisted the Salvation Army to help him peel off the UPC codes, in exchange for donating the pudding.
Maybe it is because of the economic situation or perhaps a parking problem, but the Batmobile Smart Car seems like a great financial answer for the Dark Knight. The Smart ForTwo vehicle has got a great remake by George Barris, the maker of the original 1960′s Batmobile version. It has the shine, the coolness and definite appeal you would expect from Batman’s car, but I wonder about the actual room inside. Would it be enough for all those wonderful toys Batman usually carries around?
