Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche ( /ˈniːtʃə/[1] ou /ˈnitʃi/[2] ; Röcken, 15 de Outubro de 1844 — Weimar, 25 de Agosto de 1900) foi um filólogo, filósofo, crítico cultural, poeta e compositor alemão do século XIX.[3] Ele escreveu vários textos críticos sobre a religião, a moral, a cultura contemporânea, filosofia e ciência, exibindo uma predileção por metáfora, ironia e aforismo. Nietzsche começou sua carreira como filólogo clássico — um estudioso da crítica textual grega e romana — antes de se voltar para a filosofia. Em 1869, aos vinte e quatro anos, ele foi nomeado para a cadeira de Filologia Clássica na Universidade de Basileia, a pessoa mais jovem a ter alcançado esta posição.[5] Em 1889, com quarenta e quatro anos de idade, ele sofreu um colapso e uma perda completa de suas faculdades mentais.

Obviously, the metaphor isn’t really about books – but still, that’s gotta sting a little.
Let’s face it, if people didn’t actually “judge books by their covers”, there would be a lot of graphic designers out of a job. The need for company branding, attractive packaging or promotional material of any kind would be non-existent; thus leaving the lowly graphic designer nothing short of obsolete.
