Glyphosate - Crushed It!!! 75% of Air and Rain Samples Contain Monsanto's Round Up. A new study proves just how invasive Monsanto’s best selling chemicals are, revealing how herbicide toxins are appearing in 75% of rain and air samples. Take a deep breath. Thanks to the massive use of herbicides across the planet, you likely just inhaled a dose of Monsanto’s best-selling herbicide, Round Up – at least according to the latest US Geological Survey published in the journal Enviromental Toxicology and Chemistry.

The chemical ingredient used in Round Up, known as glyphosate, as well as other ‘inert’ toxic chemicals, were found in over 75% of the air and rain samples tested from Mississippi in 2007 – a large river that cuts through the middle of the US, and is the basin in which hundreds of farms’ runoff drains. An evaluation of numerous pesticides currently used were measured through water and air samples collected from 1995 to 2007 during growing season along the Mississippi Delta agricultural region. If 75% of samples containing Round Up isn’t shocking enough, there’s more: Boycott, ban, criminalize Roundup. Jon RappoportActivist Post Glyphosate is the primary active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup. There is no official figure for the amount of glyphosate used every year in the world. One estimate? 650,000 tonnes, which works out to a staggering 1.3 billion pounds. Manufactured by Monsanto and a number of other companies, glyphosate use spiked after the introduction of Monsanto’s GMO Roundup Ready food crops in the 1990s.

Here is a sprinkle of information about glyphosate. One: Scientific American, June 23, 2009, “Weed-whacking herbicide proves deadly to human cells,” by Crystal Gammon: “Glyphosate, Roundup’s active ingredient, is the most widely used herbicide in the United States. “Until now, most health studies have focused on the safety of glyphosate, rather than the mixture of ingredients found in Roundup. . “’This clearly confirms that the [inert ingredients] in Roundup formulations are not inert,’ wrote the study authors from France’s University of Caen. “Dr.

Moms To EPA: End Monsanto’s Poisoning Of America. “We will get Roundup recalled, and we will have an impact on the chemical treadmill,” said Zen Honeycutt of Moms Across America. Photo: London Permaculture/cc/flickr It’s time for Monsanto’s Roundup to stop poisoning our food. That was the message brought to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday by a group of concerned mothers who say that glyphosate, the active ingredient in the widespread herbicide made by the chemical and biotechnology giant, is putting public health in jeopardy.

The group of 11, which included scientists, a lawyer and health worker, urged the agency to look at the results of a recent pilot study commissioned by their group, Moms Across America, and Sustainable Pulse. The results of that study were “considerable and shocking,” Zen Honeycutt, Founder and Director of Moms Across America, told Common Dreams. “We just called and called,” Olson said. “We’re not some giant corporation. It might seem like a David vs. “We will do this,” she said. Monsanto's Best-Selling Herbicide Roundup Causes Infertility. A recent study has found that Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide may be responsible for causing infertility. After reviewing the many already well-documented negative impacts Roundup has on the environment and living creatures, it is no surprise to add yet another item to the list.

Researchers tested roundup on mature male rats at a concentration range between 1 and 10,000 parts per million (ppm), and found that within 1 to 48 hours of exposure, testicular cells of the mature rats were either damaged or killed. According to the study, even at a concentration of 1 ppm, the Roundup was able to affect the test subjects by decreasing their testosterone concentrations by as much as 35%.

How can such small levels of exposure have such a profound effect on the reproductive system? Roundup, being a glyphosate-based herbicide is also known to have endocrine disrupting properties. Being aware of the hormonal disruptors you face in your daily life such as BPA and now Roundup is a must. Exposing RoundUp and Glyphosate: Humans are not ‘RoundUp Ready’ A new study published in Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology entitled, “The effect of metabolites and impurities of glyphosate on human erythrocytes (in vitro)”, explains just how RoundUp chemicals are invading our human blood.

It is so bad that few in the agricultural community will admit just how potent the combination of these chemicals truly is. They are contaminating our entire biosphere, and the continuation of GMO crops will only add to the growing toxicity levels since they require ever more use of weed-killers, herbicides, and pesticides to continue to be viable. Just try to escape from glyphosate (N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine) – the main ingredient in Round Up, Monsanto’s best selling poison.

It is utterly toxic, in the parts per trillion range. The weed-killer has been found in people’s blood in 18 different countries, but glyphosate isn’t the only problem. The background context of the new study are described: The following indicators of damage were measured: Monsanto's Roundup Shown to be Ravaging Butterfly Population. Monsanto’s RoundUp Poison 125 Times More Dangerous than Admitted.

If someone opened up a bottle of arsenic, would you drink it? This is a ridiculous rhetorical question, but if you asked regulators – would you eat a chemical concoction that has been found to be 125 times more toxic than glyphosate, the main toxic ingredient found in Monsanto’s RoundUp herbicide? It seems an equally insane inquiry, but even after numerous highly alarming studies published in journal after journal questioning the validity of Monsanto’s claims that RoundUp is ‘safe,’ government agencies continue to allow the herbicide to be sprayed.

Will this latest study be the one to break them from their poison-induced lunacy? A new study just published in the journal Biomedical Research International reveals that despite the still reputation of agrochemicals being relatively harmless, formulations like Roundup herbicide are far more toxic than regulators have previously revealed. Glyphosate is a major component of Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide. It was created and manufactured on a mass scale by Monsanto and is one of the most widely used herbicides in the world. A number of scientific studies surrounding glyphosate have shed light on the danger it posses to the human body. A new groundbreaking study has now found that the most active ingredient in Monsanto’s best selling herbicide “Roundup” is responsible for fuelling breast cancer by increasing the number of breast cancer cells through cell growth and cell division.

The study is published in the US National Library of Medicine (4) and will soon be published in the journal Food and Chemical Toxicology. Glyphosate exerted proliferative effects only in human hormone-dependent breast cancer. Researchers also determined that that Monsanto’s roundup is considered an “xenoestrogen,” which is a foreign estrogen that mimics real estrogen in our bodies. Obviously, the chemistry behind Glyphosate is known by Monsanto. New Study Finds Roundup Herbicide To Be 125X More Toxic Than Regulators Claim. Roundup herbicide was manufactured by Monsanto and is one of the worlds most widely used herbicides around the world. Within the past few years, numerous studies have emerged linking its main ingredient, glyphosate, to a number of health ailments that include cancer, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and more.

Sri Lanka recently joined the long list ( and growing) of countries who have completely banned it, citing a link to deadly kidney disease. You can read more about that and view other studies here. Russia also became the latest country to completely ban GMOs, you can read more about that here. A new study published in the journal Biomedical Research International shows that Roundup herbicide is 125 times more toxic than its active ingredient glyphosate studied in isolation.(1) The eye opening abstract reads as follows: “Pesticides are used throughout the world as mixtures called formulations.
