So I now present to you the Water Tower Hideout. This is only the start of water tower hideout. Share your ideas for the next parts to add in! Non modded Megaton lights only have lightbeams but they dont actually generate light. This is most noticeable for people who you use Fellout or other mods that make the nights darker. Installation unzip Megaton Lighting Overhaul.rar into a temporary location. I want to thank SpeedyB64 and RW2112 for the idea and the initial work done to make this possible. ==========[Installation]==========Copy/Replace the "streetlights - wateland.esp" file to the Fallout/Data directory.The mod must be loaded after the original one in the following order: Optional (I use them): Enhanced Weather - Radioactive Rain Fix at Fallout 3 Nexus - Fallout 3 mods and community. I'm a big fan of the radioactive rain option in Enhanced Weather Rain and Snow, since I always felt that rad resist was kind of a useless stat most of the time since you only get irradiated in certain areas. The problem was, the way it's implemented in that mod, you take an unresistable 1 rad/s, so not only is it STILL a useless stat, but you'll die from radiation overdose way too quickly.

This mod fixes it so that the 1 rad/second rad damage can be resisted like other sources of 1 rad/second damage. Naturally, Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow is required for this mod. To use this fix, first you have to disable the Enhanced Weather - Rain and Snow in Fallout.esp that comes with that mod, load your game and save it with that mod disabled (This is to remove the ability that it sticks you with - that ability is still present in my file, it's just not used). This mod adds lights and FX beams (some flickering ones too) to most of the street lights and signs in the DC ruins.It works great with Fellout (Fellout has the darker nights) I made a bunch of animated flickering lights with corresponding flickering light beams, also added glow maps to some things like metro escalators. I have currently only done the DC districts, not the part in the greater wasteland (next version) Also these are the settings that control light distance in fallout, setting these high (like they are here) will make the mod look even better, but it will cost performance.
