http://techvi.com/#awp:: If you really want to follow along with what we're doing now, go check out VidPlusPlus , which is where we'll be working on pretty cool video stuff. Just in case you've been waiting ever so patiently (thank you, btw) we're actually on hiatus for now. We're going to be retooling the site to make it, frankly, more usable and quick. With that, we're going to be hiding out for a bit, but comment on this post and we'll hit you up when we're done.

http://abdullin.com/ Once you have broken your systems into separate subsystems (bounded contexts) and introduced Command-Query Responsibility Segregation inside each one, there are multiple paths to take from there. Developers from Udi Dahan/NServiceBus world tend to structure systems with CRUD aggregates (persisted in SQL or RavenDB) and SOA Services, implement business workflows with sagas that look almost like aggregates. Choice of persistence usually is restricted to transactional systems (MSMQ being the star here). There is a smart usage of caching and internet infrastructure to deal with scaling. People with preference for Greg's ideas tend to express business behaviors with event-sourced aggregates, avoid use of "orchestration" term and structure flows with either state machines or stateless document sagas. Views are usually rebuilt by replaying events.

A great thing about .NET Expression Trees is you can compile them at runtime, and they’ll execute as fast as any .NET code. However, while building and compiling a tree is pretty quick, it’s best if you only need to do it once. The way you’d usually do that is cache the compiled delegate somewhere. http://chriscavanagh.wordpress.com/

Ivan Sutherland elaborates on the idea of a “prison” defined by sequential computers that work with sequential character strings making communication expensive and obstructing concurrency. Ross Cooney presents a case study of how Smith Electric Vehicles uses StormMQ in production. StormMQ is a cloud-based provider of secure AMQP services. Dennis Stevens discusses the theory of Agile, providing references for using Agile in the enterprise along with a competency model, and overviewing an enterprise Agile transformation.

A basic SQL Server cluster might run you $100,000 just to get it up and running on decent hardware. Rather than leveraging crazy scaling-up options, the NoSQL databases let you scale-out. They make this possible (dare I say easy?)
