The Light in Winter brings together local and international artists, designers, architects, filmmakers and multicultural groups in a free, month-long program of light sculptures, talks, events, workshops, performances and the much-loved Solstice Celebration. Directed by Robyn Archer , The Light in Winter has welcomed design luminaries from around the world, including Luzinteruptus , Bruce Ramus , Rafael Lozano-Hemmer , Srinivas Krishna and United Visual Artists . 2013 Program 1 – 30 June This June renowned light artist, Bruce Ramus will create the Helix Tree in the centre of Fed Square.
We saw quite a few environmentally-conscious trends at the Milan Furniture Fair ‘s bi-annual showcase of lighting products, Euroluce.
UK – ARCHIVE : a retrospective audiovisual compilation Jude Greenaway (a.k.a. Scanone) and the latest multi-platform digital release from Lightrhythm Visuals. A range of decorated international directors and animators provide a lush visual canopy for Greenaway’s soundscapes, concluding 5 years of work and unveiling a rich library of previously un-released treasures.
