Hifana (ハイファナ, Haifana? , "South Winds" in the Okinawan dialect) is a Japanese breakbeat musical duo, composed of KEIZOmachine! (Keizo Fukuda) and Juicy (Jun Miyata). The group formed in 1998, in the Tokyo neighbourhood of Kichijōji.
History[edit] Prior to forming as Hifana, the duo were collaborating with Yamatsuka Eye (front man for Boredoms) in a "belly-dancing percussion group" called Tribal Circus, and they released a self-titled album in 2000.[1][2] Hifana's first album, Fresh Push Breakin' (2003) included a music video for the track "Fatbros", for which they won the 2004 Space Shower Music Video Award for "Best CG / Animation".[3] Their second album, Channel H (2005), came with 15 music tracks and 13 music videos, for which the track "Wamono" won the 2005 Japan Media Arts Festival Excellence Award.[4][5] In 2008 they released a third album, Connect, which included 8 music tracks and 15 videos segments.

I recently started playing with shaders in three.js and I wanted to share some of what I’ve discovered so far. Shaders are the ‘secret sauce’ of modern graphics programming and understanding them gives you a lot of extra graphical fire-power. For me the big obstacle to learning shaders was the lack of documentation or simple examples, so hopefully this post will be useful to others starting out. This post will focus on using pixel shaders to add post-processing effects to Three.js scenes. This post assumes you already know the basics of using Three.js. What is a Shader? A Shader is a piece of code that runs directly on the GPU. The big conceptual shift when considering shaders is that they run in parallel.
There are 2 main types of shaders – vertex shaders and pixel shaders. Vertex Shaders generate or modify 3D geometry by manipulating its vertices. A SPEED SHOW is an exhibition format developed by Aram Bartholl. The basic idea of this exhibition format is to create a gallery like opening situation for browser based internet art in a public cyber-cafe / internet-shop for one night. The exhibition format is free and can be applied by anyone at any place. The titel of this years SPEED SHOW is “YOUR BROWSER IS MY KINGDOM”.
