University of Technology, Sydney. Art Month 2014 - Around Sydney - Art. March is art month in Sydney – an explosion of exhibitions, talks and discussions, art tours and pop-up art bars.
The theme is 'intersections and parallels', so expect to see lots of cross-pollination between design and art, fashion and art, film and art, commerce and art... At the helm of this year's festival is Andrew Taylor Wall – aka 'Scrap' Wall – a New Zealand-born curator, artist and producer who studied at UNSW's College of Fine Arts and dipped his toes into fashion via stints at The Corner Shop and Wunderkammer and a colab with Friedrich Gray, before moving back to Auckland and setting up his object/fashion/art boutique ONE.
