Dinosaurs. Two weeks worth of fun and easy science experiments. Our readers have told us they are half looking forward to time at home with their kids, and half nervous for entertaining them all day long, for an extended period of time.

Two weeks worth of fun and easy science experiments

To keep the learning going, try one of these science experiments each day. They each take about 30 minutes, and use super simple ingredients from around the house. Fill one glass with clear soda, and another glass with water. Place the raisins in each glass, and watch how they dance in the glass with clear soda. Then collect items from the around the house and predict if they will sink or float in each cup. All you need are some dirty pennies, vinegar, and dish soap for this fun experiment. The Best Movies on Netflix Right Now (December) Movies to watch personal. Fluxxmod. You may have heard of FLUXX®, a crazy & chaotic card game that's different every time you play. If you have not, do not worry. It is easy to figure out. The basic rules are simple, Draw one & Play one until you meet the goal.

The twist lies in that the goal changes with every play, and the rules change, too, so having the right combination of cards to win is not as easy as it sounds. FLUXX® is looking for bright young minds to create specialty science decks to their growing collection of products. As with all projects, it is best if you choose a topic that you enjoyed studying.

Keepers are the key concepts or big ideas for the FLUXX deck you are developing. For example, if your deck was an Astronomy FLUXX, you could have SUN, MOON, STARS, GALAXY, etc. In order to help you craft your cards, make a copy of this KEEPER Template, which includes 16 KEEPER cards. Goals show the relationship between the key concepts “Keepers”. Choose creative titles that show you understand the relationship.

Shoulder Surgery Part 1: Preparing for Surgery

Throughout the process, I knew I wanted to share what I learned on the blog because I wished I had known more going into it. I searched for information online and didn’t find a whole lot, so I hope this post will help serve as an informational guide before you have your procedure. The “how-to” of shoulder surgery that the doctors don’t give. *Before I begin, I need to note that my surgery was a very different procedure than most shoulder surgeries. I had surgery to tighten the joint, because I was having consistent subluxations (partial dislocations) and the joint was completely unstable. Clothing: Check out the tie-dye shirts I made ahead of time here. Pre-op instructions: Here are the instructions they gave me before surgery.
