Definición actual de web 3.0 | Twine. eLearn: Feature Article. Towards Web 3.0. I've been asked to consult on speakers and topics for an upcoming web conference. I have lots of ideas based on my own experience as a web applications programmer and as a user, but I'm specifically looking for suggestions outside of my little dotcom bubble. I am only interested in: - ideas, sites or software which have emerged in the last year - topics which are not of general knowledge to someone in technology - applications that are on the web, and not, say, only mobile devices (but integration between the two is totally fine) Wish list: - world-changing or at least human-focused goals - related to current events such as food safety, environmentalism, transparency in government, etc. - open or free alternatives to closed content (or novel business models around closed content) - a project leader or participant who would be interested in giving a presentation - projects which have a significant amount of youth involvement, either as entrepreneurs or as target audiences.

Web 2.0 Expo Berlin 2007 - Web 3.0. A tag cloud (a typical Web 2.0 phenomenon in itself) presenting Web 2.0 themes. An interactive version is available here. Web 2.0 describes World Wide Web sites that use technology beyond the static pages of earlier Web sites. The term was coined in 1999 by Darcy DiNucci and was popularized by Tim O'Reilly at the O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in late 2004.[1][2] Although Web 2.0 suggests a new version of the World Wide Web, it does not refer to an update to any technical specification, but rather to cumulative changes in the way Web pages are made and used.

Whether Web 2.0 is substantively different from prior Web technologies has been challenged by World Wide Web inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee, who describes the term as jargon.[4] His original vision of the Web was "a collaborative medium, a place where we [could] all meet and read and write".[5][6] History[edit] In 2004, the term began its rise in popularity when O'Reilly Media and MediaLive hosted the first Web 2.0 conference. Grub's Distributed Web Crawling Project. Beyond Web 2.0: The social web or the semantic web ? and the ris. Synopsis: Beyond Web 2.0 is still more Web 2.0(for now). The full impact of Web 2.0 will be felt only in 2008 and beyond. The Semantic web is not the future of Web20.

The full impact of Web 20 itself has yet to be felt because Web 20 technologies like cloud computing and ‘umbrella social networks’ (i.e. social networks encompassing the personal web, enterprise and the mobile web and incorporating presence) are still emerging and will gather momentum in 2008 and beyond. Introduction It seems ironic to talk about ‘beyond Web 2.0’ almost a week away from the Berlin Web 2.0 expo (where I am speaking). Extending the ‘2.0’ numbering notation, we could naturally think of Web 3.0. Much has been already said about Web 3.0 – most of it self serving. Nova Spivack and Jason Calacanis have each attempted to define Web 3.0 corresponding to their respective companies (Radar networks and Mahalo) Social software and social computing One might view ‘social software’ as a contradiction in terms. Beyond Web 2.0. Calais - Overview. Radar Networks. User Interfaces Rapidly Adjusting to Information Overload - Read.

People who in the next few years solve big problems in Information Overload are going to be very important, and some of them are going to be UI and UX (user experience) designers. German ISP T-Online demonstrated a big multi-touch screen right out of Minority Report at the CeBIT conference in Hannover this week (see this and other videos below). Many other designers are working on variations on that theme. Other designers still are aiming to bring game-like interfaces to other data-centric experiences. What would you like to see in interface design? Giant Touchscreen Video via a post at the wonderful design blog FreshCreation, the inspiration for this post. The expectation that something like this will be the interface of the future is pretty widespread, but let's look at some alternatives. Shadow Play While that touchscreen looks very cool, it's got its issues too. Via one of the researchers' comments at FreshCreation.
