Today is my oldest sister’s birthday. She’s 20 years older than me and has always been like a second mom to me. She ran the St. George marathon with me a year and a half ago.
Y’all trust me when it comes to desserts, right? I thought so. So, believe me when I say that pineapple + buttery bread crumbs + cheddar cheese is delicious. I found this little gem of a recipe in my Mom’s recipe collection. My Mom is a little uneasy sharing recipes with me. Maybe it’s because she’s afraid I’m going to make them better (by adding cheddar cheese) or maybe it’s because she’s worried I will mess up her meticulously organized recipe cards.

We like to entertain, a lot. When the family shows up, or friends gather for a weekend meal, one of the most common requests we get is for these Spinach and Feta Pies. Which is somewhat counter-intuitive since we usually have a bunch of kids roaming around, who would normally be noshing on chips and salsa.
My kids have recently discovered they love baked potatoes. I know, doesn’t everyone?
Love brownies. Love their shiny, flaky top that shatters into micro-thin shards that shower onto your fingers as you eat. Love their dark, gooey center.
Crossword puzzles alone won't save your brain and protect it from aging , though they will help. So will the right foods. Some edibles are especially good at protecting the brain's delicate nerve cells and blood vessels from the damage that accompanies aging.
