Crusty Bread. Jan. 1, 2015: Just released. Instructional video for the Crusty Bread recipe. Crusty Bread 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour 1 3/4 teaspoons Kosher salt 1/2 teaspoon Instant or Rapid-rise yeast 1 1/2 cups water In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt and yeast. I must begin by saying where the recipe originated, if in fact it originated anywhere...really. Remember before beginning to create, that this bread is highly forgiving. You do NOT have to have an enamel covered cast iron pot. You DO NOT need to oil the pot. In a large mixing bowl add 3 cups white unbleached flour. To the flour add 1 3/4 teaspoon salt (I use kosher I like it) and 1/2 teaspoon rapid rise or instant yeast. Whisk the flour, salt and yeast together. Add 1 1/2 cups water. Mix in the water. That's it! Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it set for 12 - 18 hours on the counter top. After 12 hours the dough will look like this.

Meet my blue Le Creuset. Now, please disregard that this dough has stuff in it. Slutty Brownies - StumbleUpon. Now I don’t want to over sell this, so I’m going to be conservative and simply say, that these are… The Best Brownies In The WORLD. I know, big statement. They’re called Slutty Brownies because they’re oh so easy, and more than a little bit filthy. They’re best served warm from the oven, with good quality vanilla ice cream (devastatingly I didn’t have any in the freezer this time, so I guess I’ll just have to make them again). They take about 45mins to make, including baking time. The ultimate comfort food, whipped up within the hour. You will need… 1 Box of cookie mix, 1 Box of brownie mix, 2 Eggs, 2 Packs of Oreos (double stuffed ones are even better if you can find them) Some oil & your favourite ice-cream (optional) Preheat your oven to 350F, 180C, gas mark 4. Line a baking tray with grease proof paper.

Squidge (technical term) the cookie dough into a lined baking tray, until it covers the bottom. Cover this layer with your Oreos. Mix up your brownie batter. & pour over your Oreos. Bake for 30mins. Delicious Meliscious - a cooking blog by Melissa: Cheesecake Stuffed Strawberries - StumbleUpon. Not being a fan of chocolate covered strawberries, I was happy to find these CHEESECAKE stuffed strawberries on The Novice Chef. You only need a few ingredients to put these together and they turn out to be quite impressive. Try them - you won't be disappointed! Ingredients:2 quarts of fresh Strawberries1 box Jello No Bake Cheesecake (I used this box mix and it came with the graham cracker crumbs. This was good, but next time I think I'd try making my own filling - just to compare.)Crushed Graham CrackersMilk Chocolate for drizzling (I also used white chocolate because I had some) Directions:Wash the berries and hollow out the centers.

Wednes-diy. UPDATE: This post originally ran on March 23 2011, but with summer winding down we wanted to bring it back up for some late summer inspiration! A fellow fp girl sent this to me a couple weeks back and i’ve been thinking about it ever since! I can think of a million reasons why these would be awesome… as apartment décor, as outdoor party décor, and – wouldn’t they be the best thing EVER for camping in general or at a festival? Just let them sit in the sun all day, and they’ll last all night! I am absolutely going to make some to bring with me to bonnaroo this year. you can buy a sun jar here, but you can make your own for much cheaper! I am not good with technical things, like putting together a solar power cell, so i found the easy way :) what you need: a mason jar with a clear glass lid like this one from ikea, a solar garden light like the ones pictured above, which i found here, adhesive and glass frosting spray. last image.

My littlest niece turned one this past week and so her momma threw her a sweets party. {my mom always bakes the kids their own birthday cake for their birthday – isn’t this one cute?!}

For favors, Hillary made cake pops {from this recipe} and the booklets {from here}. My contribution to the sweets table were the same filled cupcakes we had at the Summer Boutique that were such a hit. So I thought I’d show you how easy they are. To make the lemon-filled cupcakes, you’ll need: a boxed cake mix, tub of frosting, box of instant lemon pudding, whipping cream and sprinkles. I found this pack of cupcake liners at Marshalls a while back and couldn’t resist.

Okay, so first make the cake according to the box and bake in a mini cupcake pan. The filling is a take on Lemon Mousse {only the completely cheating version}. Next, mix the pudding mix and cold milk in a resealable container. Now add about a cup or two of whipping cream into the pudding and fold together. So sweet. P.S. Baked Eggs in Bread Bowls. This was our breakfast Sunday morning. Aren’t they cute? They were very, very good. It’s the whole egg and the toast combo all together in one nice package. These are so easy to make and wouldn’t they be splendid on a brunch buffet table? The best part, you can easily make two, ten, a hundred, whatever your needs are at the moment. I think there are a lot of variations you could do nicely with this recipe, such as, swap out the Parmesan cheese with grated Gruyere or crumbled blue cheese to give a different taste.

Use feta and substitute oregano for the other herbs for a Greek flavor. I used sourdough but I think this would also be nice with onion or brioche rolls as long as they are sturdy. Any way you put these together, they will be great. Slice off top of each dinner roll and gently remove some bread until there is a hole large enough to accommodate an egg. Arrange rolls on a baking sheet. Top each egg with some herbs and a bit of cream. Place tops on rolls and serve warm. Print Recipe. Valentine's Day. Title says it all. I LUV Bakerella. I pretty much idolize her. She's super rad!

Since Valentine's Day is coming up in a couple weeks, I'm on a Valentine's cupcake kick. When I think of Valentine's Day, I think of my loved ones and romance and flowers and chocolate. I'll take a beautiful bouquet of these roses any day. Check out Bakerella's tutorial on how to make these beautiful cupcakes HERE. Italian sodas. June 30, 2011 | Sweet Recipes | Comments Growing up, these Italian sodas were my favorite!! My mom and I would always stop by a little coffee shack on our road trips to Oregon.

I remember ordering the blueberry Italian soda in the summer instead of ice cream because they were so refreshing. I hadn’t had one of these since I was a kid, so I wanted to recreate the easy recipe. I even made my own blueberry and strawberry syrup instead of using Torani. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of making your own syrup, you can use a syrup from the store. Photo Credit: Sugar and Charm. Buns In My Oven.
