In the field of law, the writing and editing of scholarly journals is given to the care of students. BU Law hosts six nationally recognized law journals run by J.D. students.
These publications invite scholarly work from members of the legal community and allow students to make their own original contributions to professional literature. They include: Journal membership develops research, writing and analytical skills, which are invaluable aspects of legal education. Students are selected for journal membership on the basis of first-year grades and a writing competition held in the summer after first year. Boston University Law Review Established in 1921, The Boston University Law Review provides analysis and commentary on all areas of the law. American Journal of Law & Medicine Review of Banking & Financial Law The Review of Banking & Financial Law, (formerly the Annual Review of Banking & Financial Law), published since 1982, is a scholarly journal of banking and financial law.
