Here is my first DIY post in the Feet category and I have to say I am pretty proud. I have called them my Walk of Fame Wedges, for obvious reasons, and love the way they shine even in day light ! The blue goes with a lot of my clothes and easily suits denim slims.

It is also particularly in this summer so I will definitely be getting some use out of these beauties ! They’re high but easy enough to walk in so I will be showing them around London ASAP. To make your own Walk of Fame Wedges YOU WILL NEED : - A pair of wedges, I went for these from H&M, £24,99 - Some tiny shiny stars, I used about 400 on each shoe I think and bought 1,000 for £1.60 at Creative Beadcraft - Some craft glue, I used Appli Glue - A touch of creativity - 5 hours of your time and a good album to listen to (a few times over!)

Apply the glue in tiny dots onto the wedge of your shoe. Once you have covered a few centimeters of wedge with dots of glue, carefully stick a star to each dot. Leave to dry and wear ! - Jeans by Next. DIY Painted Shoe Makeover. Dream a Little Bigger Craft Blog - Shoesday Tuesday - Studly Studded Tennies! If you haven’t figured it out by now, I love cheap ol’ tennies. The kind you can get for so cheap that it is totally economical to make them your own. It’s pretty neat when people ask “Where did you get those shoes?” And to be able to respond, very casually of course, “What, these things? Oh, I made them.” The second these hot babies were out of the dryer, they were on my feet, and my new shoes and I were on our way to town. For this DIY you are going to need: Cheapie tennies, elastic, sewing implements, fabric dye, needle nose pliers, metal studs that are bigger than your lace eyelets, x-acto knife, butter knife.

STEP 1: Take your pliers and start squeezing an eyelet for the laces. Next, go to the underside and pull the smooth part of the eyelet out. Be very careful – this is metal and it can cut you, as I can attest. STEP 2: Take your stud and check out the width between the two prongs on the backside. Turn to where you can see the inside of the shoe and the two prongs poking out. Wild Child Glitter Heels. Make your own DIY Glitter Shoes! Now they are ready to wear, so go out and rock them!!! TOMS Shoe Makeover. Many, many months ago my mother-in-law bought me some Toms. I was so excited and I wore them a whole lot. I wore them enough to get a hole in the front of them. Here's what they look like now..... Here's how it went down. I peeled one side off and applied it to the shoe, lining it up with the long seam across the top of the shoe. Then I smoothed it over the front middle and then along the sides. The sheet didn't cover the entire front, to I added a few more pieces until the whole front area was covered.

Once you've got the paper everywhere you can smooth it over the shoe to get the adhesive to adhere and the just peel off the paper. Then applied the fabric the exact same way. I added a little extra adhesive inside the pleats to get them to stay flat. I smoothed the fabric over to get it really stuck on there - especially at the bottom. And BAM. And it's kind of fun to have a pair that's totally unique. Dream a Little Bigger - Dream a Little Bigger Craft Blog - Punk Inspired Stud Flats. While I tend to feel pretty old anymore, shout out to my crap knees, I’m not old enough to actually remember when punk was born.

I, in fact, wasn’t even born yet. But there is something that I love about The Clash, Ramones and Sex Pistols that makes me feel oddly reminiscent. Go figure… So when my sister wanted some stud covered flats I had no problem complying. There wasn’t too much creativity involved in this project but I did one little thing that is going to drive some nuts but I totally dig. Rather than try my best to perfectly space the spots throughout the shoes, I totally, randomly placed these suckers in the most haphazard way I could muster. In the end, they aren’t perfectly symmetrical and I know that is a thing for a lot of people when dealing with their shoes but they are perfectly awesome. For this project you only need: Take your studs and push them through the outside of your shoes. Also, make sure your shoes fit. See where I link up. You may also want to check out: Graceful Lace. I have a thing with lace and shoes.

A really, really big thing. In fact, this is the THIRD pair of shoes that I have made lacy this year. On the one hand, I will always have a pair of lace shoes to perfectly complement any outfit. On the other hand, who really cares? Lace is awesome and on trend this fall and if you don’t have any lacy shoes, yet, you need to listen up! I feel like I have really perfected my lace covering technique.

Shoeslace fabric, approximately 1/4 yardspray adhesivescissorsMod Podge & small brushutility knife First take and cut a portion of your lace that is generously larger than the actual shoe. Turn your cut lace upside down (pretty side down, less attractive side up) and give a nice layer of spray adhesive. Starting with the toe portion of the shoe, place the lace with a good focal point on your shoe. When you get to the back of the shoe, cut the lace directly down the middle.

Take the other side and trim so that the lace is just overlapping the first piece. Shoe Makeover: Zebra Striped Classic Canvas Kicks Craft momspark.net. I’ve been informed that they look like “old lady shoes” and “hospital slippers” but I persist in loving classic canvas sneakers. It is an absolute obsession that I have. I want a million pairs in a million colors. But not just plain, solid colors… I want crazy, splatter painted, studded up or, as in this case, zebra striped.

Since I found cheapie versions of these that run around $10-12 with shipping, in a crazy variety of colors on Ebay (search for women’s classic canvas) my addiction has hit an all time high. When I was digging around in my shoes to makeover box, I found these babies brand new and still in the packaging. This is a low material/high impact project.

Classic canvas shoesBlack fabric marker First things first, unless you have the concept of zebra print imprinted on your brain, you may need some inspiration images. Start drawing your zebra print onto the toe portion of the middle of the shoe and fill in. Do the same on the back heel section. [ad#large-rectangle-adsense]
