Dejected with the lack luster performance, a group of IITians from the current batch carried out a survey on the campus. The first part of the survey centered on the reasons behind the poor performance and the lack of student’s intent to study was published in the January issue. It was revealed that 75 percent of the IITians in the current batch were not willing to spend time on their academics in the absence of deadlines for submission of assignments and more than 75 percent of them were more interested in pursuing hobbies, while many were addicted to social networking and micro-blogging sites.
