The More the Merrier? What Happens When More People Use Financial Services. By Ratna Sahay, Martin Cihak, Papa N’Diaye, Adolfo Barajas, and Srobona Mitra (Version in Français) A growing number of policymakers see financial inclusion—greater access to financial services throughout a country’s population—as a way to promote and make economic development work for society. More than 60 countries have adopted national financial inclusion targets and strategies. Opening bank accounts for all in India and encouraging mobile payments platforms in Peru are just two examples. We find there are economic benefits to greater financial inclusion, up to a point, and countries need high quality banking supervision when they broaden access to credit.

Tangible benefits from inclusion Evidence on the macroeconomic effects of financial inclusion is scarce. Our study examines the macroeconomic dimension of financial inclusion using comprehensive global data from the Financial Access Survey, Global Findex, and other new datasets. Mind the gap Impacts on growth, stability, and inequality.

Greatist - Job Interview Mistakes. Full disclosure: Sometimes, we're lazy. So, whether it's seven ways to simplify our morning routine or how to make our time at the gym actually enjoyable, we're into it. And, to keep us on track, we've turned to Greatist, because they've got us excited about being healthy — and just trying to get a good night's sleep. By Lauren Berger Few experiences — save for a trip to the DMV or dentist’s office — elicit the same level of anxiety that a job interview does (and that’s only once you’ve made it through the dreaded application process and actually secured yourself an interview).

Unfortunately, like those other stressful tasks, there’s no getting around it. To get the inside scoop, we asked a handful of professional recruiters and career coaches to tell us about the slip-ups they’ve witnessed over and over again. Begin Slideshow. So Long School: 6 Things to Know As You’re Developing Your Career Identity. You’ve spent most of your life in school. And the routine was pretty much the same.

There were classes to take, papers to write, and finals to study for. Some of it was drudgery, and you fantasized about what life would be like on the other side of graduation. But some of it was stabilizing. The path to graduation was clear, and you knew which classes to take and what you needed to do to pass them all. Now graduation is over, and the excitement you felt after finally completing it all has been replaced by excitement’s alter ego—anxiety. 1. How graduates handle the transition from graduation to career is impacted by how they have handled transitions in other areas of their lives. 2. So you went to college and still don’t know what you want to do with your life. 3. Many people only apply to jobs they are certain they qualify for in hopes of increasing the chances of finding a job. 4. 5.

After a few weeks in New York, the modeling agency I'd signed with sent me to work with an agency in Hamburg, Germany for six months.
