One of the most common use cases for Skitch is to capture all or part of what's currently on the screen (a "screenshot"). When Skitch is running, you can strike any of the following keystrokes: ⌘+⇧+5 — Crosshair Snapshot: shows a crosshair that can be dragged to highlight a rectangular shape; release the mouse pointer to capture. Or, place the crosshair within a specific window and click once to grab the entire window. In either case, the resulting image is loaded into Skitch . ⌘+⇧+6 — Full-Screen Snapshot: just like it says, this grabs the entire desktop and loads the image into Skitch .
