After you’ve debated your list, and argued with others about theirs, it’s time to start thinking about the new feast of horror that will be hitting your eyes in the coming months. In the spirit of looking forward, and with my own new year’s resolution in mind (to watch 365 horror movies next year), I bring you the 12 horror movies to look out for in 2013. These are the movies I am highly anticipating seeing in 2013, and so far, it looks like it’s going to be a good year for horror!

After losing someone she loved and falling into depression, Chang created this experiment on an abandoned house in her neighborhood to create an anonymous place to help restore perspective and share intimately with her neighbors. The project gained global attention and thanks to passionate people around the world, over 1000 Before I Die walls have now been created in over 70 countries, including Kazakhstan, Iraq, Haiti, China, Ukraine, Portugal, Japan, Denmark, Argentina, and South Africa. The walls are an honest mess of the longing, pain, joy, insecurity, gratitude, fear, and wonder you find in every community, and they reimagine public spaces that nurture honesty, vulnerability, trust and understanding. HMS Friday’s Top 10 Lesser Known Films For 2011.

We’ve cherry picked ten non-blockbuster, lesser known movies that the crew here at HMS Friday are dancing the Hempen Jig for. Last year we were surprised and seduced by the likes of major mainstream releases including Inception, Kick-Ass, Scott Pilgrim and How To Train Your Dragon, but there were also some interesting low budget, indie and less well known films which popped up and pleasantly surprised us all. So here are ten smaller titles due for release in the UK over 2011 which we think merit your attention, in no discernible order.
