This was established well before things like LinkedIn, WordPress and other self-authoring website tools became popular. I originally set this up as a series of HTML pages, maintained on a university (not WSU) web server, until an ePortfolio tool was established, in my case Mahara (not that this matters). Since then, the advent of Web2.0 has meant anybody can establish a professional presence for themselves on the web, that can, to all intents and purposes, serve as an ePortfolio. Probably the most obvious of these is LinkedIn; originally launched some 15 years ago (believe it or not) which now has more than 100 million active members (and many more inactive ones). " Virginia Woolf was famously turned away from the (fictional) Oxbridge university library when she tried to enter unaccompanied by a college Fellow, and without a letter of introduction.
“Here I was actually at the door which leads into the library itself,” she writes in “A Room of One’s Own.” The library in question may be fictional, yet the circumstance true enough. Only a week ago, I watched a video of a co-teaching team explaining the importance of using a thesis in a final term paper. This was for a graduate class at a private institution.
