Diploma in ELT Management (DELTM) This course provides excellent professional development for managers and aspiring managers of language centres, and is run by English UK and validated by Trinity College London.

Diploma in ELT Management (DELTM)

The course focuses on management at three levels: routine, tactical and strategic, and is run by George Pickering, Terry Phillips and Keith Harding. It runs in London from September to June, with ten monthly face-to face sessions, and a requirement to complete five 3,500-word assignments and a 5,000-word project. These are practical, with a theoretical underpinning, and there is no final examination.

This equates to 635 hours -- around 8 hours a week -- of which 65 are allocated to training sessions, 380 hours on self-study, including completion of mini-tasks, and 200 hours on the assignments and project. Candidates must have a first degree or equivalent, have line management experience in an educational or business context, and have English at level C1 of the CEFR. DELTM Introductory Booklet.
