The piece has been created by iconic artworker Wes Benscoter who has worked for heavyweights such as SLAYER, DIO or BLACK SABBATH before. The album is currently being produced at the famous Fascination Street Studio with renowned producer Jens Bogren (OPETH, KATATONIA, SOILWORK, DEVIN TOWNSEND, AMON AMARTH) in Örebro, Sweden. „Phantom Antichrist“ marks the bands debut for Nuclear Blast and is set to be released June 1, 2012 (Europe), June 5, 2012 (North America) As announced earlier, KREATOR will also release an exclusive 7“ single of the titlesong on April 20, 2012 . The North American leg of Iced Earth’s 2011-2012 World Dystopia Tour has just barely gotten underway. But the band has already been booked to play the Bloodstock Festival this August. "We are looking forward to returning to Bloodstock in 2012, our second time after 2008. The UK shows we played on the European leg of our World Dystopia Tour last fall were some of the best on the tour and we cannot wait to bang our heads with the UK minions again!" says Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth.
Known for his famous “Heavy Metal Man” stand up comedy tour, and movies such as "Half Baked," Jim Breuer will perform on Wacken stages for the first time. In addition to Saturday Night Live and his movie roles, Breuer has been seen on VH1, MTV, Disney and Comedy Central, and heard on the airwaves with his own radio show! We are very happy to welcome Mr. Breuer at Wacken Open Air where he's performing a really special debut show on Thursday and Friday at W:O:A´s Bullhead City tent.
