This list of newspapers in the United States is a list of newspapers printed and distributed in the United States. It includes a list of the 25 newspapers in the United States with the most circulation, followed by lists of newspapers published in United States territory. Those lists are followed by a series of links to other lists of U.S. newspapers, organized by various categories. As of 31 December 2011[update], the United States had 1,382 daily newspapers.[1] Top 25 by circulation[edit] This is a list of the 25 U.S. newspapers with the largest combined daily average circulation.[2] These figures were compiled by the Alliance for Audited Media for the six months ending March 2013.

When two papers in a city produce a combined edition under a joint operating agreement, they are listed side-by-side. Longest running[edit] The 50 states and Washington, D.C.
