Message module’s inclusion in the upcoming version of Commerce Kickstart, and it’s very likely inclusion in Drupal Commons 7 turns this not very known module into an important module to know about.

What is Message module, and its new features

Message can help with many tasks from simple logs to complicated activity streams and even, with the use of Message Notify module, multilingual digest emails. What is a message Messages are entities belonging to a specific “Message type”, defining the purpose of its messages. Think of the relation of a Message to a Message type the same as what a node is to a node type. A good resource for understating Message is the Message-Example module that ships with Message, and is well documented.

Tokens As it is possible to attach fields to messages, we can leverage the token system. Partials The message text is of multiple cardinality (or combined of multiple “partials”), in order to allow presenting the message in a complex layout without adding too much markup to the message text. Drupal Groups - (Private Browsing)

There is a ton of interest in RedHen and a few larger nonprofits as well as a handful of larger Drupal shops interested in leveraging RedHen on large-scale Drupal-CRM projects. It's great to see RedHen gain traction and ThinkShout is very interested in supporting other developers who seek to contribute to the project.

The RedHen CRM community and code base would obviously benefit from these larger build-outs. But collectively we face a "chicken and the egg" scenario. I'd like to address this by the RedHen community coming together to create a shared group of case studies. Taking full advantage of the advances made in the Drupal and Salesforce platforms. 1. RedHen CRM. ThinkShout. RedHen at DrupalCon The big week is finally here with DrupalCon Portland kicking off in our own backyard.

ThinkShout

For those of you not familiar with Portland, we're really big into birds (yes, I'm aware that's very 2010), and chickens in particular. I'm working real hard here to make a clever connection to RedHen, the leading native Drupal CRM, and the only one named after a bird! Zen and the Art of Farmyard Maintenance Like many developers, we get pretty psyched about building stuff. Magic, CRM and Shiny Objects Galore! With the session submission deadline drawing to a close for DrupalCon Portland 2013, ThinkShout (along with many other fine Drupal community members) participated in the mad rush to get all of our awesome session ideas in on time! Free Range RedHen: Code Sprint at the ThinkShout Office With 2013 well underway, we thought it was time to circle up in the office and bust out an open source sprint. RedHen CRM. RedHen CRM. Under the Hood of RedHen CRM. RedHen CRM is one of many great stories featured in the Linux Journal's recent Drupal special addition.

Under the Hood of RedHen CRM

RedHen just laid a beta3 release and the ThinkShout team will be at the Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit if anyone wants to connect. This is the 5th in a series of articles exploring RedHen, ThinkShout's native Drupal 7 CRM platform. ThinkShout initially designed RedHen CRM around the complex association management (AMS) needs of nonprofits and trade associations. These association management requirements go well beyond the standard needs of most CRM/CMS solutions.

However, in building an abstract tool with these needs at the forefront, our goal has been to future proof RedHen CRM as much as possible to ensure that its architecture can accommodate a wide variety of use cases. RedHen CRM Demo. RedHen CRM. RedHen is a Drupal-native CRM initially designed for common nonprofit needs, but built for flexibility.

RedHen CRM

It has classic CRM functionality for managing information about contacts, organizations, and their relationships between each other and your organization (like memberships).
