Le sacrifice invisible (téléprésence) By Ronald Anderson and Karen Carnabucci Systemic Family Constellation Work – sometimes called Systemic ConstellationWork – is a phenomenological experiential approach developed by Bert Hellinger inthe 1970s in Germany to address the traumatic effects passed to the descendents of the Nazi perpetrators and Jewish and other victims after World War II.

Themethodology has grown into an international movement which is comparable topsychodrama. Here we discuss the newer method, alluding to the challenges andpossibilities that it poses psychodrama. A growing number of helping professionals around the world are employing SystemicFamily Constellation Work, an experiential intergenerational healing process developed by Bert Hellinger, a former Roman Catholic priest and missionary who was trained in psychoanalysis and exposed to various therapeutic modalities of the 1960s and ’70s.Systemic Family Constellation Work looks remarkably like psychodrama – yet also hasgreat differences.

Many people contributed to the development of the process; however, the German-born Bert Hellinger (b. 1925) is widely acknowledged as the founder of the process in its modern form. His first book, published in English as Love's Hidden Symmetry,[3] became a best seller in Germany and brought Constellations to public awareness. The Systemic Constellation process is sanctioned by family therapy associations in Europe[4] and is being integrated by thousands of licensed practitioners worldwide.[5] The work is also beginning to become known in the United States.[6] The procedure described below represents a typical format.[7] Procedure of Systemic Constellations[edit] Systemic Constellations have applications for family, organizational, community, and social systems.

The procedure below describes the most widely used subset of Systemic Constellations called Family Constellations in a group setting. A group of participants (10–30), led by a trained facilitator, sit in a circle. See also[edit] I-It-thou (approche "trois-en-un") Ich und Du, usually translated as I and Thou, is a book by Martin Buber, published in 1923, and first translated to English in 1937. Premise[edit] Buber's main proposition is that we may address existence in two ways: The attitude of the "I" towards an "It", towards an object that is separate in itself, which we either use or experience. The attitude of the "I" towards "Thou", in a relationship in which the other is not separated by discrete bounds.

One of the major themes of the book is that human life finds its meaningfulness in relationships. In Buber's view, all of our relationships bring us ultimately into relationship with God, who is the Eternal Thou. Buber explains that humans are defined by two word pairs: I-It and I-Thou. The "It" of I-It refers to the world of experience and sensation. By contrast, the word pair I-Thou describes the world of relations. Buber's two notions of "I" require attachment of the word "I" to a word partner. What does it mean to experience the world?
