Any advice on setting up one computer with multiple audio/video outputs? [Archive] - Technibble Forums

I have a client that currently has 6 DVD players all playing different movies. These DVD players feed into two quad digital modulators with composite cables (yellow/white/red) for a total of 6 channels. They want to move away from DVD players and use a computer or two instead. That way they won't have to switch out the DVDs all the time and worry about scratched DVDs, freezing, etc. My first idea was to install multiple video cards into one computer and then find a program that can play a different video on each card but then I realized that doesn't include a sound solution. So... If anybody knows how I can do this, please help me out. FirePro™ SDI-Link. Multi-monitor. The use of two such displays is called dual display, dual screen or dual monitor. Research studies[1][2][3] show that, depending on the type of work, multi-head may increase the productivity by up to 40-50%. History[edit] Contemporary windowing systems, such as the X Window System (used by GNU/Linux) and those used by Microsoft Windows and Mac OS, all support simultaneous use of multiple monitors. Multi-monitor support once depended on specialized proprietary video drivers and support from windowing systems and window managers.

Multi-monitor has been a standard feature of Apple's Mac OS since the introduction of the first color Macintosh II in 1987.[4] Configuration and placement[edit] VIRTUAL DJ SOFTWARE - Mutiple Video Displays (outputs) PC with multiple video and audio output channels - New-System-Build - Homebuilt-Systems. The rest was handled by (free) open-source software -- mplayer and python. The trick is to use "mplayer" in slave mode, controlled by a python script. Mplayer has a command-line option "-adapter x", where you set x to 1, 2, or 3 to get the video to play on each video port separately (two monitors on the Galaxy card, the third on the motherboard's on-board video port).
