I like ITIL. I use it quite a bit. But it puzzles me why ITIL is the default source of best good, generally accepted practice for IT processes practices. Often people talk as if it is the only source.

The term "micro-inequity" was borrowed from the work of Sue Geller and Patricia Kenschaft of the Mathematical Association of America's Committee on Participation of Women. In their view, these are the small things that happen so often and in such a subtle manner that they almost escape our notice. By framing such incidents in a skit format, there is an opportunity to laugh at ourselves and to discuss the bigger issues of gender equity in a non-threatening way. Geller and Kenschaft began collecting stories about micro-inequities in the academic community in 1989.
