Yale students have seventy-five majors from which to choose. Not yet sure what you want to do with your life? Indulge your curiosity. Student Budget & Cost of Attendance. Our financial aid awards for 2014-2015 are based on a budget of tuition and fees plus allowances for living expenses, books, etc. These budgets reflect our estimate of the cost of a moderate style of living in New Haven for the nine-month academic year. * Note that to date University Health Coverage costs for 2014-2105 have not been set- as such this budget presently defaults to the 2013-2014 rate.

Room, board and personal expenses: This allocation represents a reasonable student expense for housing, utilities, food and other personal expenses. It is the same for all students whether they live on-campus or off-campus. Travel: An additional allocation will be made to the cost of attendance to account for travel costs from the student's permanent home address (as reported on the Need Access and/or FAFSA) to New Haven based on a universal assessment of average travel costs on a state by state or by country basis.
