Institute for the Future of the Book. Thedigitalist.net » a blog by the digital team at Pan Macmillan. Edward M. Corpus -- Resume and Curriculum Vitae. As of now, March 2011, his page is going to be under construction for two more months. So, please try coming back here again soon and often. Thank you. You can view my job resumé on a page of my Capstone project web site, my qualifications to work as a digital 2D and 3D animator.

On this page is a little bit more information about me as a person. I’m a Baby Boomer who has worn many hats in life. So, how does a Baby Boomer who has re-invented himself but one more time re-enter the workforce in a challenged economy, "woiken for the Man every night and day"? A few jobs over the years have been sources of pride or satisfaction.

To parlay this love into a new career that will allow me to practice the techniques of art, both traditional and avant garde (i.e., graphic and electronic media arts). In order to attain these goals my academic emphasis is in Digital Animation, with the hopes of eventually developing this for medical animation. Types of Transmedia. The various types of transmedia storytelling can be thought of in terms of the following: the narrative spaces covered (location, characters, time)the number and relative timing of the platforms (sequential, parallel, simultaneous, non-linear)the extent and type of audience involvement (passive, active, interactive, collaborative) . The first two dimensions can be represented by the diagram below. The next illustration shows the “Franchise Transmedia” project. It’s a series of single-platform deliverables – a book, a movie, a game.

In many ways the platforms are independent except that they often cover different narrative spaces: prequel, sequel, flashback which may dictate a release order or schedule. In any case there’s no apparent audience interactivity between the platforms. Next >> Social: O'Reilly Tools of Change for Publishing Conference 2011 - O'Reilly Conferences, February 14 - 16, 2011.
