It provides a source of highly qualified and motivated students for employers in the GIS/GIScience sector, for whom such skills are in high demand. Core modules provide an introduction to GIS, a rapidly evolving area within business, health and planning settings as well as in environmental applications. You will be introduced to various GIS packages and database systems that are very useful for those wishing to undertake social and environmental science research and those who want to have an understanding of the application of geotechnology as practitioners.
