Little Red Infinity Dress Tutorial

In fact, I MADE it. The infinity dress has got it all! You can wear this amazing dress basically any way you feel comfortable–and it can look like a new dress each time! I made my infinity dress in about 3 hours and for under $20! I found these infinity dresses on Craftster years ago and have always loved them. First, you need to do some measuring. So, 30/6.28 = 4.7. Then I decided on length of skirt and came up with 18″. To make your straps, you need to decide how wide to make them. To determine strap length, you need to make them 1.5 times your height. So, got that? To make your pattern, get packing paper, freezer paper, or a bunch of pieces of computer paper taped together. Then I measured 18″ down from that and made another line for my skirt length. Cut out on your lines. Next, cut a waistband 10″ tall and the length of your waist you measured. Now for construction.

How To: Rolled Fabric Flowers

We decided to make some with the girls in our church youth group, but I couldn't find a great tutorial on how to make them so I played around and this is what I came up with.Enjoy! Start with about a 1" ripped strip of fabric (you can use any width...this was the width I liked best). The length and weight of your fabric will dictate the end diameter of your flower. Fold the strip in half and dot a little fabric glue on the end 1/2" or so. Roll the glued end a few times to get a nice tight center. Then, once you have a center you like, start twist/folding your fabric away from the center as you roll. It will start to look like this. Continue rolling until you have a flower that is sized the way you like, but make sure you leave at least a 1" or 2" tail (enough to cover flower bottom).

Spread glue all over the bottom side of the flower. Then fold tail down to cover glue. Sweet Verbena {sweet lil pencil pouch} - FancyLittleThings.com. Hello Fancy Little Things readers!

I’m excited to take part in the back-to-school celebration over here at FLT. Back-to-school is still an unfortunate reality for me. I just started my junior year over here at Texas A&M University (Whoop!). I also blog over at Sweet Verbena. I hope you’ll stop by sometime if you get the chance! Today I’ll show you how to make this sweet little pencil pouch. Materials: Scrap Fabric Zipper (10″ or longer) One sheet of Felt (9″ x 12″) Charms (Found in the beading section of Hobby Lobby) Tutorial: Cut your fabric in to two 9.5″ x 3.5″ rectangles. Cut your sheet of felt in half and lay a section of fabric on each.

Now for some quilting fun! Now for the zipper. Lay one section of fabric down right side up. Sew with about a 1/4″ inseam. Flip the zipper over and sew a quick top stitch if you like. Lay this piece right side up and then lay down the other section of fabric face down and pin as shown: Stitch with a 1/4 inch inseam and again finish with a top stitch.
