I started out as a berserker mesmer myself, then slowely evolved to what it is today. Once the ascended gear is in place (power/tough/crit damage) and the remaining trinket’s that I listed, the ability to nuke is still there, just takes a bit more of a setup. When I was running a pure offensive setup, it was nice to be able to smoke a single target, but in WvW you come accross groups of players. I would kill one then be on my back, downed, trying to decoy and use the downed skill’s like a madman… It just didn’t make sense to me. Now couple this build with 4 other people that are a nighmare to bring down, and bingo, something special begins coming to fruition. All the offensive in the world does not matter, because when you are dead, the only skill you have is “choosing a waypoint.” Gaiawolf, Condition heavy builds, with my current setup, will trump me.
