Do you know that zippers can be used to make flowers too? Florals made from zippers, particularly the ones with metal teeth, have become more and more popular in fashions projects. Here is a tutorial to show you how to make easy zipper flowers. They look very unique and beautiful. Loom Flowers. Last week I shared with you the templates to make these pretty loom flowers, and this week I am going to show how to use the looms to make them.

To start, insert the tail end of your yarn through the center of your loom and place a finger over the tail to secure it. Then, wrap the long end of your yarn around the top tab. Wrap the yarn around the tab on the opposite side of the loom. Working clockwise, wrap the yarn over the next tab and down again around the opposite tab. Continue wrapping the yarn around each tab and its opposite around the loom and repeat for a second pass. Use a coordinating color to make a pretty center. Plastic Flowers. Did you miss us?! For today’s bit of DIY accessory magic, we’ve figured out how to turn 3M’s Scotch Color & Patterns Duct Tape into gloriously neon rosettes. A fold here, a twist there, repeat a few times, and you’ve got a charming rosette to turn into a ring, pin, pair of earrings, or a little hair bling. Materials: - duct tape - scissors - ruler - accessories: earring backs, barrettes, comb clip, pin We used an array of neon duct tape as well as a fun snakeskin pattern as an accent for the hair accessory. We’ll start by showing you the step by step for our turquoise rosette ring.
