For me black and white photos are timeless and classy,and its also a challenge to some photographer to be able to send a message with the absence of colors. Compared to colorful objects and lanscapes where catchy colors help the photo’s to stand out, in black-and-white photo’s the ability to stand out depends only on its ability to communicate rather than on its appealing visual presentation and beauty. Indeed, beautiful black and white photography doesn’t attract with its play of colors. Here close attention to composition, lighting, perspective and the context it is shot in are important.
