Guide to realistic Head Modeling by Thunder Cloud Studio. 20 Free Tutorials to Create Your Own Flash Game. Flash is a very flexible tool for building games that are both entertaining and educational. However, the software itself is a quite tough to learn and extremely hard to master. There are lots of websites providing free and paid tutorials of flash.

Here we present you a bunch of free tutorials for game development in flash. Anyone who knows flash likes to create his own flash game. We believe these are the best free tutorials available in Flash Game Development. 1. Unit 35' by Stephane Israel. Hi everyone!

Unit 35' by Stephane Israel

In this tutorial I'm going to describe the three steps in the making of that big fat Robot. The two first step can be apply to any 3D application. The third is more specific to Softimage XSI, as they are the basic settings I've used for the rendering. As you can see on the wire view the overall modelling is quiet simple. I start with polygon primitives and push/pull the vertex. . - For the holes, I apply on the chosen polygon a "local subdivision refinement" . - For what can be called the lines of structure, I've selected the wanted edge loop, self duplicate by five, and push inside the middle line. On this pic (left) you can see the finished model, with one level of subdivision. On this robot I've decomposed the mapping work in two main steps....The Orange parts and the white ones.

As I didn't want a neither too shiny nor metallic look, I've used a lambert shader. Basic Weight Painting by Mobi. This tutorial will take you through the basics of weighting, in particular basic weight painting.

Introduction First get the default male character from XSi, select all of the body bar the left arm and delete these polygons. Metallic Shader for XSI by Akari naim (funky) First of all I want to excuse my poor english, because it's very hard for me to find the right words to explain something. ;) Fig. 02 Before we Start.

Cloth Simulation: Controlling it with Weight Maps by Neptune Image - Kashif C. Riley. Introduction While I was working on an animation project, I was struggling a little bit on how to get a localized effect on getting cloth simulation to work on a character.

Cloth Simulation: Controlling it with Weight Maps by Neptune Image - Kashif C. Riley

So, I took a small hiatus on my own character and opened and old scene to test my theory on a way to control my cloth. A lot of artists like me having tried many different ways to get cloth simulation working and have struggled constantly. Softimage User's Guide: About Cloth Simulations. Short Hair' by Peng Zhao. Overview. 3Delight for Softimage is a fully integrated rendering plug-in for Autodesk® Softimage® 3D Animation Software.

Overview

It achieves seamless integration into Softimage, without any compromises in workflow, and brings a higher level of rendering performance and capabilities otherwise unavailable to the Softimage user base. The most important benefits are: Significantly faster global illumination and subsurfce scattering Significantly faster rendering of motion-blur and depth of field (up to tenfold)Significantly faster rendering of Hair and Fur (up to fivefold)Ability to use displacements extensively with negligible impact on performanceAbility to handle much larger scenes using significantly less memoryBetter quality rendering with perfectly smooth subdivision surfacesProven RenderMan standard and practices with RIB import/export and RSL shadersNetwork caching for efficient bandwidth utilization while rendering on a render farm.

TF_FUR_STUFF.zip - „Google“ diskas. Bump Maps. Bump Maps Although real surfaces can be perfectly smooth, you are more likely to encounter surfaces with flaws such as indentations and ridges.

Bump Maps

One of the most basic ways to create these types of “bumps” on a surface is to use a bump map. A bump map simulates relief on objects by perturbing the shading normals according to a texture. The result is the illusion of bumps, ridges, and imperfections. TUTORIAL: Clothing Seams in Zbrush. I have created some alpha textures for my character project.

These are all clothing and fabric seams. The last one is a mod of the alpha in the Stitch1 brush available in LightBox. You may use all these alphas for your own projects, either personal or commercial use. How to use: Step 1. Step 2.

Hair Meshes - Cem Yuksel

The model is prepared by Lee Perry-Smith using Hair Meshes (more specifically Hair Farm, the ultime hair plugin for 3ds Max). Abstract Despite the visual importance of hair and the attention paid to hair modeling in the graphics research, modeling realistic hair still remains a very challenging task that can be performed by very few artists. In this paper we present hair meshes, a new method for modeling hair that aims to bring hair modeling as close as possible to modeling polygonal surfaces. This new approach provides an artist with direct control of the overall shape of the hair, giving them the ability to model the exact hair shape they desire. The hair meshes method has been protected with US and Internal patents.
