Back to a bustling office after 4 days of vacation (aka... flu recovery.) I was feeling an aweful lot better until this morning, when I realized the office was out of coffee!! Ugh.
Staying within your wedding budget is hard. As a newlywed, I can't count how many times we had to do some "adjusting" to our wedding spending so we wouldn't completely destroy our agreed-upon wedding budget. After some long chats and compromises, I can proudly say, we succeeded. The main way that we cut costs was to take on some DIY wedding projects .
This is such a simple yet brilliant idea…
Remember these? Yes, the long lost Duckling invitations . I know I have been promising the tips from the DIY process, but due to some computer crashes and general life craziness it’s been a little difficult to get everything together. The printing of the main invitation was very basic.
These days, the possibilities are endless when it comes to guest books. Why have everyone sign their name in a book that will collect dust after the wedding? Instead, you could have them sign a memorable keepsake which you can display in your home, or one of these other wonderful ideas which will be sure to be more enjoyable for both you and your guests. One of my favorite guest book ideas that I have discovered is this adorable puzzle guest book by Bella Puzzles .
It’s very easy to create your very own photo booth styled save-the-date cards or wedding invitations. You don’t necessarily need to be in an actual photo booth to get the same results; all you need is a little creativity! Set up a backdrop with either sheets or curtains and have a tripod or some other support for your camera.

I’ve said before that I am not the biggest fan of wedding favours , it always seemed to me to be a sure fire way to bust the budget for very little return. And with favours ranging from the simple chocolate (nom-nom-ed before the meal has even begun) to the (frankly crazy) crystal perfume bottles (I am not kidding) you risk your guests either not noticing the effort, or judging you for the splurgefest and wondering where you got the cash, or silently accusing you of bankrupting your parents. Having said all that, today we are all about adding a little bit of originality and personality to your big day, and as a little gift to your guests, wedding favours can be super if they reflect your taste as a couple, and show you have put some thought and care into giving them something they will enjoy. So we’ve come up with a list of our favourite Original & DIY Wedding Favour Ideas.
As much as I loved our own amazing wedding, if Tim and I were forced against our will to get married again (puh-lease, if it was socially acceptable I'd get married again every day for the rest of my life) then I would model our bash after Courtney and Djordje's beautiful dream wedding in the Hamptons.
If vintage and whimsical had a pretty little baby it would be this number filled with sweet, happy colors that only Jill Thomas Photography can capture so beautifully. We almost feel like we’re there, looking down that rose petaled aisle as all the gorgeousness unfolds. Amorology Weddings left no creative detail unturned including that fabulously pink bike and a mix of heart palpitating florals by Twigg Botanicals . Let’s just say we have ourselves a match made in wedding heaven. See more of this blueberry + daisy filled affair in the gallery. Click here to see the entire gallery of images!
