FSA Register. The Register is a public record of all the firms, individuals and other bodies that we regulate. Find out how to use the Register and what to consider when searching for a firm, individual or investment scheme. Our Register has information on all firms that are, or have been: authorised by us; registered to conduct regulated activities; or provide certain products or services in the UK. It also lists individuals who are approved to carry out particular functions. Firms can only conduct regulated activities in the UK if they are currently authorised by us or registered to do so, or are otherwise exempt. These activities include many of the financial services that consumers and businesses use or deal with each day. Searching for a firm or individual How you search our Register can depend on the type of firm you are dealing with, the individual you want information about, or the product or service being provided.

Finding a financial services firm or individual Foreign firms on the Register. Welcome to the Jersey Financial Services Commission. Financial Supervision Commission - Financial Supervision Commission. Welcome to the Guernsey Financial Services Commission. Unauthorised internet banks. This list contains the names of entities promoting themselves over the internet and purporting to be banks and/or offering banking-type services, however none of them are authorised by the FSA. Consumers who deal with these entities should exercise caution as they will not get the benefit of the UK compensation and complaints schemes if anything goes wrong or if they have any complaints.

This list is by no means exhaustive as new names are regularly added. The absence of a firm's name from this list does not necessarily mean that they can be safely dealt with. You are advised to take special care before entering into any commitments in respect of regulated activities (financial services), e.g. investment offers, banking and insurance services, advertised on the internet. Consumers are strongly advised to check whether a firm or individual is authorised in the United Kingdom, on the FSA Register where there is more information available.
