Help! (film) An eastern cult (a parody of the Thuggee cult) is about to sacrifice a woman to the goddess Kaili. Just as she is about to be killed, the high priestess of the cult, Ahme, notices that she is not wearing the sacrificial ring. Ringo Starr, drummer of the Beatles, has and is wearing it; it was secretly sent to him by Ahme, to protect the victim, her sister. Determined to retrieve the ring and sacrifice the woman, the great Swami Clang, Ahme, and several cult members including Bhuta, leave for London. After several failed attempts to steal the ring, they confront the Beatles in an Indian restaurant.
Ringo learns that if he does not return the ring soon, he will become the next sacrifice. Ringo then discovers that the ring is stuck on his finger. Next, the Beatles seek a jeweller to remove the ring, but the tools he uses all break. Ahme, now revealed as being on the group's side, tells the group that her sister's time has passed and she is now out of danger. The boys are seen in a field. Watch Full Help! Ahme, maintenant amie avec le groupe, les prévient que sa sœur, qui avait été choisie pour être sacrifiée à Kaili, est maintenant hors de danger. Les Beatles s'aperçoivent qu'ils sont toujours pourchassés et vont donc demander protection à Scotland Yard.

The Musicians’ Union had placed a ban on miming, and the live vocals were attempt to hide this. The completed films – two for each song, both in colour – were directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, whom had worked with The Beatles on the clips for Paperback Writer and Rain in 1966.

When the Beatles began filming ‘Help!’ In February 1965, they were overworked and superpowered. Within the past two years they had released four albums, more than a dozen singles and a movie. Basically, they could do no wrong when they, along with director Richard Lester (who helmed their 1964 film debut ‘A Hard Day’s Night’), went to the Bahamas to start work on ‘Help!’ No matter what they came up with, it would be a hit. Guaranteed. Things could have turned out a whole lot worse, or better, depending on your perspective and given the movie’s production history.
The Beatles were smoking a ton of pot in early 1965. The plot is barely there: A sacred ring used in an ancient sacrifice ends up stuck on Ringo’s finger. De nombreux films leur ont été consacrés, et ce dès les sixties, des documentaires bien sûr mais aussi des films de cinéma (dont certains dans lesquels ils jouent leur propre rôle) et des téléfilms. La liste est donc impressionnante mais aussi de qualité inégale. Retenons surtout que sur le terrain de la rivalité Lennon/McCartney, le premier l’emporte haut la main sur le second – mais il faut dire qu’il a eu la bonne idée de disparaitre à tous justes quarante ans… Quatre films ont raconté la naissance des Beatles, c’est à dire leur période rock’n’roll précédant leur succès phénoménal et la beatlemania des années 1963-64.
Le plus récent à ce jour est une production britannique titrée Nowhere Boy (2009) et réalisé par Sam Taylor-Wood dont c’est le premier long-métrage.
